Pizza, Pizza, Pizza

Okay so I joined in the Daring Baker's, like I have nothing else to do - but cooking has always been my first love and I've been trying to find ways to get the mojo back, and not just with cupcakes.

So I signed up and this is the first month I joined and the recipe this month is for 'Bake Your Pizzas Like A Real Pizzaiolo' and hosted by Rosa part of the challenge was to toss the dough - yikes I thought how the heck will I do that. But we gave it awhirl, and whilst it wasn't 100% successful I'll keep trying.

The first time I made the dough it didn't work as well as I liked. The recipe says to split the dough into 6, which I did, but now prefer it split into 3. Gives me a bit more dough to work with and makes a slightly deeper crust. The crust is delicious. It's crunchy, yet soft, with a wonderful flavour.

The other things I learnt whilst doing this is everything should be cold, including the flour. And yes the dough is quite sticky. It doesn't rise imo, like a conventional pizza but it's very very tasty.

I think all the details of the recipe will be posted on Rosa's blog, so you can all have a go at making this pizza. Be warned though you need to start it the day before you need it.

Now I suppose you want some photos too?

Okay this is 'trying' to toss the dough lol!

Then here we have ham and cheese for the 2 littlies. They ate the whole thing between the two of them, I couldn't believe it.

Then Shane and I had prawn, asparagus, mushroom and onion, with mozzerella, cause I forgot to buy provolone and we had some pine nuts sprinkle on the top, cause I forgot to put them on prior to the cheese.

Hope you enjoy making it as much as I did. Bring on the next challenge I say!!!

Custom Order

Just a divine threesome of nappies going out to a little man. His mummy has excellent taste, they turned out beautifully.

And just a reminder I'm taking a short break from stockings, to catch up with some customs and family time.

Thank you to everyone that came along to the RNW expo here in Brisbane, it was lovely to put names to faces.

GDUNH prize winners should be up shortly as well, just waiting to hear back from the US programmer extraordinaire Kelly.

Stocking later today - Sunday the 19th

I'm just starting to put the stock up in the store at Cherub's Kiss I'm just putting the details in. Shane still needs to take the photos, so they'll go live sometime later this afternoon.

We had a wonderful time at the Reusable Nappy Week Expo - and it was so lovely to put faces to names. I hope that everyone that went had some fun and cupcakes.

Please remember that I'll be taking a little break after this stocking, to catch up on some R&R and my custom list.

Gossamer Dreams Stocking Tonight

Yes it's that time again - Gossamer Dreams stocks tonight at 8pm. It's a Christmas theme this month :)

Previews are up at the store from 9am this morning, though I suspect more will be added throughout the day.

It goes live at 8pm for 24 hours only. Please also note that the Cherub's Kiss items can not be remade if the cart oversells for this stocking. Please wait for a direct confirmation email from me with payment details. I do also email everyone that the cart oversells on. We are trying to rectify this issue, but with GDUNH and RNW, they have come first, but fingers crossed it will be sorted in time for next month.

Newsletter No. 47

Hi All,

Well it's been a long time between stockings, the GDUNH and now RNW take up a very large portion of the Cherub's Family lives, along with the usual ups and downs of a family of 6. I am however stocking on OZeBaby tonight. I'll be auto stocking, so the time that everything goes live will be clearly displayed.

For those that miss out don't forget my custom ballot draw - just enter via my homepage Cherub's Kiss - terms and conditions for these custom slots can be found here Custom Slot . As the run up to Christmas gets super busy October will be the last custom draws for the year. To that end I'll be increasing the slots from 2 to 4. So if you want a chance for a custom slot this is it until next year.

Cherub's Kiss will also be attending the Nappy Expo at Coopers Plains and will have stock for sale, though it will be limited. I will however be for the first time taking orders - orders will be limited to 2 per family, a deposit will be required, and the spots are limited. You will be emailed with my custom slot fabric page, so you may make a selection from there. Please allow 3 - 6 weeks for delivery, the balance of your order will not be payable until your items are ready.

Still sewing

Shane is just about to take photos to upload to OZeBaby but I'm still sewing, so there will be more coming in the next couple of days. Looking like a Saturday Night stocking at this stage.

Cherub's Kiss will also have a stall at the RNW Nappy Expo - Saturday the 18th October at Bethlehem Lutheran Church - Cnr Boundary Road and Beechcroft Street, Coopers Plains - 9am - 1pm. I will for the first time ever take orders on the day for a maximum of 2 nappies per family. However I will limit the total number of nappies as well, so it will be first in best dressed. You will be able to choose basically a custom slot, from fabrics that I have available. Fabric photos will be emailed to you after the event. A deposit will be required, and depending upon demand, your nappies may take between 3 - 6 weeks to be completed.

There will be stock from other nappy WAHMs as well, inluding Bits for Bots, Pookey Pockets, Possum Pouches and Kat Shaw Lady Beads. We are also still looking for stallholders - if you are interested in a very reasonably priced stall and are a Brisbane or surrounds WAHM. Please contact Donna at donna at bitsforbots dot com

I'll also be at the Enchanted Forest Park, Frasers Road, Ashgrove on Monday the 13th, for an informal nappy get together.
